SACRAMENTO - A "major" in-flight emergency ended safely at Mather Airport on Friday when the plane touched down without incident.
A "major" in-flight emergency was reported with the plane as it was approaching Mather Airport around 10:45 a.m.
Initial reports indicated the plane was dumping fuel about 20 miles away from the airfield and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene.
However, the plane landed safely around 11:19 a.m. according to News10 reporter Natalie Sentz on scene.
No information was provided on the plane or the reason for the emergency.
