Police dog Bodie released after surgery
SACRAMENTO, CA - The loveable police dog Bodie was released from the VCA hospital Wednesday afternoon after a successful surgery.
According to Michelle Gigante with the Sacramento Police Department, the German Shepherd underwent surgery on his broken jaw Tuesday.
A metal plate was installed and bone marrow from his shoulder was packed into the broken area.
Sergeant Andrew Pettit said Bodie stayed overnight at the VCA and is doing well today.
